What better way to celebrate Pi Day!
My backyard tree is overloaded with blood oranges, so I figured it was worth the experiment to make a blood orange meringue pie.
The filling is definitely colorful. The flavor is orange-y with a hint of raspberry.
Too bad the meringue covers it up.

What beautiful meringue. I like that it is hiding the surprise of the blood orange filling.
